BY THE NUMBERS... DAY 6 & 7

Image
Day 6 Day 7 Here are the final results on the green pool project. Day 6 on the left shows the pool with sand on the pool floor and steps. On the right is the pool the next day after cleaning up the sand and debris.         Day 7 Day 6

BY THE NUMBERS...DAY 5 & 6

Image
The left side shows the pool in its 5th day of cleaning. Already the bottom of the pool is visible and the dark spots one can see is the dead algae along with sand and dirt.                                                           On the right is the pool in its 6th day of cleaning. The bottom is clear enough where the debris is clearly visible allowing me to remove it before using the vacuum.

BY THE NUMBERS...DAY 3 & 4

Image
This is the new project on Day three (left) and Day 4 (right). The difference in the color of the pool is noticeable. The one on the right side has a bluish tint while the one on the left side still has a slight greenish tint. Day 3 Day 4 Day 3 Day 4 Day 3 Day 4 Day 3 Day 4

BY THE NUMBERS...

The pool pictured above is in dire need of the SharKool Pool's signature Aquatic Entertainment System Program™ (AESP). The AESP puts the kool back in the pool.  Below is the same pool 24 hrs after applying the AESP.       I will post an update in a couple of days with DAY 3 and 4.

Before and after pix of a pool before applying the SharKool Aquatic Entertainment System Program™ (AESP) and a week after application of the progam. The client was so ecstatic to see the amazing results that she literally gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek to show her appreciation.  She said that out of all the other pool services she had in the past, SharKool Pools was the only one that had been able to turn her pool to a beautiful blue again. For similar results don't delay in calling us at 561-203-5677 or visiting us at www.sharkoolpools.com .

THE HULK TAKES A SWIM IN SOMEONE'S POOL

The top pix shows a pool soon after The Hulk goes for a swim. The second pix shows the results of the SharKool Pool' team signature program, the Aquatic Entertainment System™ (AES). The water was never drained or replaced. Another reason why you should call the SharKool Pools, Inc team at 561-203-5677 for your pool maintenance or visit us at www.sharkoolpools.com .

NEON BLUE EFFECT

Image
Isn't this a beauty? One could swear neon lights are being used here. But believe it or not it is simply an ordinary white pool light reflecting the color of the pool finish. Because of the water's clarity and chemical balance, the reflection is that much more translucent. Kudos to Rob, the resident at this house and the photographer of this fabulous shot. SharKool's team dedication and hard work pays off in more ways than one. Since the water is too cold to swim in, the resident enjoys this magnificent and relaxing night time view from his living room.

THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE FOG...

Image
Something like out of a Stephen Spielberg movie. Full of mystery and intrigue. The fog continued rolling in until it reached the roadway where visibility was reduced to at least 50 ft. Thank God not too many cars are on the roadway early in the morning on weekends!                                                                           Fog, like rain, carries with it several contaminants such as phosphates and algae which can affect your pool water chemistry. Although the amount of contaminants may not be in large enough quantities to cause any health hazards, once in the pool, they continue to multiply. Pool operators should be aware of these types of weather patterns in order to properly mitigate any fallout from them. Staying alert and responding to changing weather patterns is key to maintaining a well balanced and crystal clear pool.                                     If we had enough fog as in California, we might be able to make some "vaporized beer&qu

SPLASH & DASH TIME

Image
There will be times when the weather will prevent a proper cleaning of the pool. During a rainy day like today, pool operators resort to what is commonly called Splash & Dash. As the name implies, a Splash of chemicals and a Dash to the truck! Sometimes we are lucky if  we can even do that. On days when the rain is too heavy, we have to skip certain pools if access to the pool or residence is flooded. We can't be perfect all the time. Rainfall can be a blessing by cooling down the temperature in a hot day or a truth teller revealing whether the pool operator had been doing a good job. If the chemicals in the pool were not at their acceptable levels and the pool is skipped during a rainy day, chances are that the following week there will be signs of algae growth in that pool.  If you own a pool and are tired of dealing with the annoying growth of algae and can't seem to get rid of it, call us at 561-203-5677 or visit us at www.sharkoolpools.com to begin servicing

THE BALANCING ACT

Image
Swimming pool water chemistry can be a mystery to homeowners and many pool operators. Proper chemical balance in the water is what helps keep the water free from algae, kills bacteria, keeps the water clear and helps protect the pool finish from damage and premature deterioration. Oh! And keeps your hair and clothing from changing color or fading! Two of the most popular and basic chemicals for swimming pool water are the chlorine and acid (the chlorine used here is unstabilized chlorine and the acid is sulfuric acid). The amount of chlorine added to the pool may vary from week to week based on use and weather. Acid is added to mitigate the pH and can be used to control the calcium level in pools. Just how much you need of each chemical is determined by the chemical readings obtained using a test kit. SharKool takes water chemistry so seriously it has developed a technique they have coined, Aquatic Entertainment System ™, that constantly produces amazing results to make sure you

CLASSY, GLASSY OR GLOSSY?

Image
Glass like surface Such a beautiful pool on such a beautiful day. Keeping one's pool looking crisp and clean can be a great selling point when time comes to sell your house. After all a pool adds an estimated $25k to $100k of value to a property. So the nicer the pool looks...the greater emotional involvement the buyer will have. Especially if they are accompanied by children. Want your pool looking like this? Then visit us at www.sharkoolpools.com or call us at 561-203-5677.

SOMETIMES THE CHOICES ARE HARD TO MAKE Isn't it nice to live in Florida during this time of the year? Of course it is. While the rest of the country is covered in snow and temperatures in the low teens, the residents of Florida are running around in shorts and t-shirts. Then add to it a beautiful and shiny, crystal clear pool like this one and you can say you are in paradise....or at least close to it. LOL!
January 20, 2014 No matter how hard we try or how careful we may be, we can't escape Mr. Murphy's Law. It is an accepted idea that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. That doesn't mean we have to dwell on it. After all when life hands us a lemon...well you know the rest. Even though situations may go wrong it doesn't mean we have to accept the negative side of it. We can choose to focus on the positive. Case in point is what happened to me today. Traveling on a main roadway at a busy time of day, on target to finish my route for the day, a driver turns into my lane and side swipes my truck. There goes my plan to finish on time. I could have chosen to be selfish and dwell on the negative aspect of the situation and thereby ruin the rest of my day. Instead I chose to focus on what didn't happen. That is, no one was injured, no major damage, no hit and run, no loss of property and no elevated blood pressure. Focusing on these things helped me relaxed, got all t

Coming in from the cold

January 19, 2014 This past week has been quite cold for pool operators in South Florida. I could only imagine those in the north, brrrrr. Although it was cold, we stepped up to the challenge and went out to service our customers pools as we have done during the nice warm days--with a few extra layers of clothing of course. As long as the wind is not blowing and the sun is shining, it's bearable. However when the weather is cloudy and windy...forget it! Time to consider the consequences of possibly getting sick working in such weather. This is the time when you separate the men from the boys. This coming week promises to bring more of the same. Oh well...what can we do? Hopefully the pool operators will make sure they are properly and adequately dressed for the occasion. As for me it's business as usual. I take it one day at a time and one pool at a time. Whatever will be, will be. No need for me to stress over something that hasn't happened yet. Here in Florida the weathe

Crystal clear, pristine pools come from proper care and maintenance. A pool operator with thorough understanding of chemicals and their interactions in a pool setting is better situated to give your pool that sharp, shiny and glassy look where you'll see rainbows bouncing off the ripples. This photo is of a current SharKool Pools team client. When SharKool first took over the pool, it was clean but dull looking. Even with the sun shining full force in the middle of summer. Within four visits the SharKool team transformed this pool to look the way it does now. The owners of this pool couldn't be happier.
